But, seriously, I knew this when I took things into account. Just to be sure I wasn't being a retard (which I can be often), I went and double checked a modern day map (that was flat, like these) and still, Alaska is not as giant as it is in that map.
Maybe my eyes are failing me, but dammit, it looks like it's the same latitudinal length as Russia...
I'll just shut up now. That's what I get for having been to every state....but Alaska...
