You can expect someone to come up and tell you it is a "Constitutional Representative democracy/republic". They will tell you they hold elections for Congress and the President once in a while. And I know your/my answer to that already.

One finer subtlety to point out though.... "Fascism" isn't a rigid definition for a certain "form of government". It is more general, an ideology, loosely defined in principles alone, with many derivatives in reality.
