Re: Is the USA fascist?
The birth of our national identity in a violent revolution has led us to be always militant.
However, I would not say that we are, or have been, a fascist nation. We have recently taken a large, uncomfortable step in that direction, however I believe we will make corrections soon against it. While I regard several of the items on that list as good (or even necessary) for a productive society, I see the American developments on all points as somewhat dangerous.
Unfortunately, I do not see any permanent changes to our society that will better safeguard us against taking more substantive steps towards fascism in the future.
