I certainly expect more witnesses and lawyers will get killed before Saddam gets convicted. I think proving a death penalty case will be a cinch, but I wonder whether they will give him life imprisonment as a gesture to the Sunnis. People around the world already know Saddam is a henious person and his long list of evil deeds, so I don't think that will change many opinions on the war whatever they may already be.
