Actually, I think it's classified as an international tribunal. And the trial doesn't come up to the usual standards (which aren't very high) simply because of the security problem. Lawyers are killed off, and the case, as far as I can gather, snails along because they really have to make up the proceedings as they go along. The problem with this, and something everyone should agree upon, is that this trial should not continue endlessly. But it must also be fair. There must be some sort of closure with this trial, or else it is simply a fake trial where Saddam is judged by the americans and their friends for pure political reasons.

If that makes anyone advocating a fair trial an opponent of the US policies in Iraq... well.
