Perfect example. Guy makes $50/day filling 125 buckets.

See the ramifications of illegals (story isn't about them but you get the point).
Tomato Sauce, Tomato Paste, everything that contains a tomatoes goes up, company's revenue is impacted with paying higher wages.

You either continue the lower cost at the retail level and keep them or higher cost and get rid of them. Can't have both.
Absolutely false! We CAN have both, and we can have both in a way that saves consumers/taxpayers EVEN MORE. The answer is found in the 13th Amendment:

Quote:
Amendment XIII
Section 1. Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction.
We have lots of illegal immigrants in this country costing taxpayers billions who come because there is a demand for labor. We also have a large prison population that costs taxpayers billions of dollars.

Time to bring back the good old fashioned prison work details, bid out the labor to business and use the wages to offset prison costs.

It's a win-win, we reduce the demand for illegal immigrant laborers, we create a cost savings on both sides for the taxpayers (costs of the illegals and the cost of prisons) and we give convicts just what they need, experience with a hard days honest work.
