But there is a legal way to try Saddam, in the Hague.
Why use an illegal court, that will be seen as completely unfair by the very people who you want to see it as fair?
This is all about killing Saddam (the outcome) and has nothing to do with the rule of law (the process). This is a case of a country, launching an unprovoked invasion of an arab Islamic nation, capturing the legal leader of that nation and executing him, denying him all legal process, substituting a show trial that is a mockery of the legal system.
And that is how this will be seen in the region.
