Hes got a history of violence towards women. This is not a conspiracy- its a cut and dry case of the rich getting away with whatever the hell they want.

This is why I was sceptical from day 1 when I heard the story. Rape is a serious issue, but usually does not happen upon stepping out from a bath tube.

On the other hand, I can see that, getting older and power-drunken, a man might lose contact to reality -despite his experience and the high degree of self constraint that public affairs entail.
Self constraint seems not to be a prime characteristic in politics these days.
Just look around in any country. Itīs the nutcases who get the headlines.

IMO. DSK is the french equivalent of Berlusconi.
Most probably both are impotent and merely try to convince themselves and others that they are not.
    Would-be Machos both of them.

or later as a final and total catastrophe of the currency system involved." - Ludwig von Mises

Well, only a short while ago he appeared to be stuck in to his head.

I agree that DSK is a macho.

That does not mean he is a rapist. Same applies to Berlusconi.

Even if we don't like machos, we need to be fair with them .

But anyway, here is the prosecutor's motion for dismissal:

Very interresting read. I am starting to wonder whether Nafissatou Diallo did not endure some kind of trauma in Guinea to have developed such a striking pattern of lying as described in this paper ... What Vance is describing in there is not just a woman saying contradictory stuff about an event, but one who is consistantly lying about just everything ...

I am not even sure she can win in front of a civil jury if what's in there is true ...

Since New York prosecutors have dropped charges against him, Dominique Strauss-Kahn has returned home to France. Discussions about his future political role are largely speculative, it is beeing ruled out though that he may rejoin the presidential race against Nicholas Sarkozy, that he was leading before his arrest though :
