UN: Credible evidence Iran working on nuke weapons - Yahoo! News
I foresee a war against Iran in the future.
What sayeth the forum?
Rightful liberty is unobstructed action according to our will within limits drawn around us by the equal rights of others. I do not add "within the limits of the law" because law is often but the tyrant's will, and always so when it violates the rights of the individual.
-- Thomas Jefferson, letter to Isaac H Tiffany (1819)

I'm sure that Obama will send them a sternly written letter *yawn*
Then in 2013, or 2014, when half of New York goes up in a nuclear fireball... and the other half can't be lived in for the next 2,000 years, the MSM will scream 'how could this happen!?!'
Then they'll blame Bush...

President Perry will have to put an end to this.

I am struggling not to laugh, due to the serious nature of your post, but I did anyway.
Well, it looks like we will get to test my theory, which is that democrats, while generally putting on the facade of dovish peaceniks while in campaign mode, are every bit as serious about national security as Republicans when push comes to shove.
Uh-Bama, for all his faults (and they are far too numerous), still has troops on the ground in oil rich Iraq, and in strategically important Afghanistan.

I could've sworn I've seen this exact same headline at least a dozen times over the last ten years. I mean, here's one from 2004:

[I]"Finding the occasional straw of truth awash in a great ocean of confusion and bamboozle requires intelligence, vigilance, dedication and courage. But if we don't practice these tough habits of thought, we cannot hope to solve the truly serious problems that face us -- and we risk becoming a nation of suckers, up for grabs by the next charlatan who comes along." Iran will get a nuke sooner or later. The US does not have to go to war with Iran. Such a war would be a waste of lives and money.

Agreed. Eventually they will.
The best possible timing for this is after they have changed over to a stable democratic republic, not while they are in the hands of religious extremists, such as they are today.
Who's gonna trust Ahmajinedad or Khamenei with a nuclear warhead?
Given the changed post-election legislative landscape I can only hope that the administration and the congressional houses can find a way to work together, finding the right compromises to do the people's business, while keeping the people's best interests at heart, and may civility return to the public discourse. We, as a nation, certainly need all of these things.
Yeah, well that's a lost cause now for sure.
So we kill Iranians and send American soldiers off to die out of fear of someone declaring war on us.
The US should respond to actual acts by a nation, not ones dreamed up by someone playing world leader pretend and fear mongering to get us into a war we don't need.
War is the known evil. One that I hope the US never chooses voluntarily again.
