The people knew he hated capitalism.....they people just didnt understand that meant he hated their boss and they would lose their job. It is not coincidence radical communist/ socialists/ anarchists/radical Islamist are so prevalent in our schools. When you fail with the adult you win with the teaching of their kids......Never since the late sixties and early seventies have universities and schools been so diametrically a opposed to everything that made this country great....This wasnt because their view point turned out to be true ....This is cause this is what they have been taught by our educators. Decades od conditioning to believe that you can make jobs by punishing those with the money and ability to do so.

Uh, what made this country great was the creation of the largest middle class in world history. And conservatives did not do that. But they did destroy what built this middle class. So a few could maximize wealth.

Obama is no socialist. But the Pubs love commies. The cons call Obama a socialist as they love giving american manufacturing tax breaks to move to communist china. So, using your same measure, the cons love communists, even more than their own people.

I always figured it was being the most free country Ever in human history is what makes this country great and it is heavy regulation and high taxes killing jobs not republicans. I don't fall for the bullshit class naming ....... Castes are something for Stalin like countries not the USA . Obama is a socialist and saying he isnt when everything he does proves he is delusional . Republicans don't see commies everywhere just in places they actually are like our schools and universitys.

Freedom is great, no doubt. But a free nation of prosperous working middle class people trumps a free nation of unemployed folks brought about by business wanting to maximize profits and wealth.

What is more important. That the few might maximize wealth, or that a middle class be substained and grow?

I keep hearing about regulations being bad, killing jobs, but I never get to see one that does. Granted, if you have to provide a reasonable safe work environment, this can cost a business more.

We had a chemical plant built next to our family farm in the 60's. They dumped toxic chemicals into the creek that we swam in and fished from. They killed everything in that creek, until the gov't forced them by regulations to clean up the water before they dumped it into our creek. Yeah, that cost that company some bucks, and might have kept them from hiring more people, but the cost was worth it, to us.

We had an economic model that built the largest middle class in history. A democratic model, no less. The success of that model cannot be refuted. Then in 1980 the cons came roaring back, and it took them a few decades to ditch that model that had build such a large middle class. Because, you cannot maximize the profits of the few and build a middle class. It is an either'or proposition. The repubs chose to enrich the few, by loosening the reins upon business, so that it no longer contributed to a strong prosperous middle class nantion, but instead maximized profts of business.

This deregulation chant that comes from the right is what got us into the mess we are in today. You may as well do away with all of the traffic laws and speed limits, although we already know what that would yield. And the politicians knew what deregulation would yield, more profits for the elites, at the demise of our middle class.

Just seems to me that Cons don't have the ability to know what humans are, and what humans do, if given the opportunity. We cannot be trusted to do the right thing, so we create laws and regulation to try to correct it as best we can.

I agree. I just can't see the marxist in the guy. But these right side boys see marxists behind every tree when thinking of Dems. Which is funny really when you consider how big business and banking are the puppeteers, making both Repubs and Dems dance to their tunes. And if Obama complains about being jerked around, he is called a socialist or marxist. If he wants the rich to pay more in taxes he is waging class warfare. Hell, the rich used to pay 91 per cent, and that was during the time of exponential economic growth. But as Ben Stein said, there is no correlation between tax rates on the rich and job growth. That idea is another lie coming from the Repubs.

By the reactionary right-wing's standards, Eisenhower was a commie pinko bastard.

That's how delusional they have become.

Limbaugh calls Obama a "socialist" and all the ditto-heads parrot it - all the while having no clue what they are saying.

Either you value freedom BD, or you don't. You don't.

Freedom isn't a guarantee your life will be carefree and prosperous. You have to work at it.

class warefare is not whats make samerican great...

Freedom is what makes this country great...

Freedom to be born to a deadbeat father and a mother who does not have the skillset to raise you, yet still become president...

Freedom to start with nothing and become wealthy beyond your greatest dreams...

Freedom to be a man who cares for his family and is content to work 9-5 everyday for a wage.

Freedom makes us who we are, and class warfare is what can tear us down...

You are guarneteed Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness.. everything else you have to work your ass off to get...

    ahoy CSA,

the freedom to be free to pursue our freedoms be what makes our country wonderful!

the freedom to be born to a oil rich family, and then take that entitlement all the way to the white house...

the freedom to start with a ship's treasure chest 'o monies and to make sure ye live off dividends fer the rest 'o yer life...

the freedom of a man who rails on Youtube about our fiscally irresponsible President, whilst he stiffs his own children on child support...

freedom makes the wealthy who they are, and allows'm to basically purchase the congress...

You are guarneteed(sic) Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness.. everything else you have to work your ass off to get, and if ye become one 'o the fabulously wealthy, ye can have legistlation written as ye so please.

i love america, we all love america. the real question be who loves american more...who loves america harder...who has more thrust and heft? who loves our freedoms the mostest? ARRRR!!!!

*shakes his fist at the sky and froths at the mouth while also feelin' confused*

A different perspective for finding employment.

Alan Khazei's proposal on jobs is remarkable for its simplicity. We give out 99 weeks of unemployment insurance now. What if we turned that into a voucher that employers could redeem for 99 weeks of wages?
