Who are the elites again? Are they the incompetent former professors who never had a real job where they had to produce instead of simply manipulating and pontificating? Are they the politicians who have gotten rich while serving our interests? The people who don't have to pay their taxes while shaking us down for ours?

Where are the Jobs BlueDoggy? Three years in and nothing better in sight just yet.

There is the political elite, both elected and unelected. But the most powerful, in my view, is the wealthy elite who have massive influence over our political system. Being elite doesn't make one evil, of course — don't know a lot of billionaires myself, but I'm sure there are plenty of nice ones — but many have clearly put their own interests over that of the rest of us... and they have the hard cash, political connections and control of the media that allow them to push their interests in a way that the rest of us cannot. And what's more impressive, they have convinced many of the rest of us to take their side.

He's not a conservative he's an elitist that is actually among the elite, they know which side of the bread their campaign contributions are buttered on.

    ahoy JDJarvis,

since all politicians be the same way, i don't really see that as a distinction that makes any difference.

i will concede that that Mr. Obama be part 'o the elitist establishment now, and a standard bearer fer moderate conservatives.
any charges that he be a socialist be downright silly, in me own opinion. any suggestion that he be a liberal be kinda laughable, or at the very least shows that folks have a peculiar view 'o what a liberal would be.

when i reads all these insistent posts whar folks stamp thar feet and clench thar fists, sayin' with great conviction that they KNOW that President Obama be a liberal because, despite any evidence in the legistlation he hath passed, he really wants to pass liberal legistlation (he just doesn't), its really kinda amusin'.

i mean this honestly, i finds it funny...and not funny in an ironic or sad way, i mean funny in a "HAHAHAHA" kinda way.

    *salutes*

10-4 on that one. I predicted this very shortly after the election results were announced.
Given the changed post-election legislative landscape I can only hope that the administration and the congressional houses can find a way to work together, finding the right compromises to do the people's business, while keeping the people's best interests at heart, and may civility return to the public discourse. We, as a nation, certainly need all of these things.

Yeah, well that's a lost cause now for sure.

And now the government wants to control the internet so that it can extract more tax dollars there to pour into its boondoggles, including more Predator drones to kill and main more people abroad without due process. How can you believe that private businessmen like Steve Jobs and Bill Gates, who are not dependant on government contracts, and who create thousands of jobs for people, are the evil-doers?
I;m not saying anything like that. Steve jobs and Bill Gates created something and thats great, even if Bill gates screwed some people, that's not evil.
It's companys that destroy lives around the world and here at home(the military companies are good examples) with the blessing of both parties of government that I'm talking about. Companys ranging from Coca Cola and Monsanto to the arms manufacturers/dealers and banks that fund wars.
They all have blood on their hands and our government is in lock step with them all the way.
I'm all for getting rid of regulation that hurts job creation in the US, but usually what republicans call job killing regulation are the few regs. we have that keep these massive greedy machines from harming innocent people and killing more jobs than they already have.

So funny how it doesn't matter what anyone says you guys just outright refuse to look into anything anyone else says to see if maybe they have a valid point. Obama is no different than any other president we had in the past 30 years. If you simply look at the data readily available you can see how deregulation, lower taxes for the rich, more tax loopholes/shelters for companys and millionaires has been the steady trend. And you can see how as that has progressed the purchasing power for the middle\lower class has declined while rising sharply for the richest.
Now if you don't know thats true then its very easy to find the research that shows that it is true. Or if you know that it is true but you think that that is what is god for america well then, good luck to your children when america becomes a 3rd world nation because we failed to come together and force republicans and democrats to create some meaningful change.
