I have a very simple solution for all this. On our taxes have a blank spot that says "vote for the president here." No multiple choice, either you know the name of your choice or you check a box "i dont know" and your vote is left out. This would encourage people to reasearch the candidates. It should be required by law to either pick a candidate or dont. Stop making it so hard to vote and make it law to do so and the voice of the public will be heard and not just the elderly who have nothing better to do then spend the day at a voting office.
