    ahoy Jviehe,

i have to say i agree with me friends who lean right...tax hikes alone will not address our fearsome deficit (which, by the way, is not a plea fer congress to hand out even more tax cuts instead).

we'll need to reform our entitlement plans and trim the spendin' thar also.

ZERO plans* offered up by Obama.

Obama's approval sank to a new all time low again today according to Gallup. Another point and he is in George Bush territory. He is losing. The Democrats are losing. This political battle is all but over... we are just waiting to see how many Democrats want to die on this hill. So far... it's at least 17 Democrats in the Senate.

    * Anyone on the left... if you want to dispute this, GREAT! Post a link to the Obama plan. Thanks!
And the Dems are out this morning attacking the House, name calling. I cant wait to see Reid lose his job. He is as bad as Pelosi or Tom Daschle were. All name calling and threats, no substance.

I agree with part of that.
Ried, Boehner, and a whole bunch of others need to go.

As for the name calling, both sides do the same thing. It's how they keep their wingbats in line. It works very well, just look at this forum.

True enough... but it's not helping them this time:

President Obama brought his debt battle to Twitter and he lost – more than 40,000 Twitter followers.

Obama asked Americans Friday to call, email, and tweet Congressional leaders to “keep the pressure on” lawmakers in hopes of reaching a bipartisan deal to raise the nation’s $14.3 trillion debt limit ahead of an Aug. 2 deadline.

Obama’s campaign staff used the @BarackObama Twitter account to post the Twitter handles of tweeting GOP leaders – state by state, tweet by tweet.

Not everyone is a fan of the presidential spam. By Friday evening, the President had lost more than 40,000 Twitter followers - and counting.

President Barack Obama takes debt battle to Twitter, loses more than 40,000 followers in one day

    Meanwhile I got this:

“Thanks @BarackObama for pushing @RoyBlunt over 11,000 followers today!”
It was tweeted by Amber Marchand, communications director for Sen. Roy Blunt, (R-Mo.).

The one thing in common with both bill, is neither one shows much detail. They both cut spending, which we need, but neither one tells us which programs will be cut and how much.

Do we really want or need another bill to pass before we know what's in it?
They want to prevent the embarrassment of Owe-Bama having to go through this again before the election.
