    Ok, but isn't that really a subject for a different thread? I was answering a question about the payment of existing unemployment benefits (as in, people who are still under the 99 week mark).

    Not the leas of which unemployment comes through the states... backed up by federal money. Most likely the states would just continue on knowing that they would get paid once the shutdown ends.
