Delusions are fun, I guess.

While I find their insipid idealism laughable, Liberals aren't nazis. However, anybody who believes that teaching these kids multiple languages at once (if that is what actually is going to happen) is going to make them prepared for a dominantly English speaking culture is incredibly naive. I think an earlier poster said it best -- the truth is that immersion is the most effective way to learn a language. Many bilingual people can attest to this, including myself. Not to say grammar rules and proper schooling should not be taught (which is where schooling comes in,) but practically speaking and from experience -- juggling two or three languages to learn at once is a task that very few can accomplish and become proficient in all. Learning a second language to be proficient in a manner to "analyze the world" takes discipline, practice and huge amounts of devotion. Anybody who refutes this obviously has never tried to become fluent in a second language. You think an adolescent in todays society is going to have that kind of discipline? If a school believes that they can teach scores of adolescents to learn two languages at once while maintaining proficiency in their native tongue then go for it -- but I predict it to be a huge waste of tax dollars. We have enough trouble teaching students to be proficient in one language.

Are you delusional, or just purposefully ignorant?Originally Posted by t714zu

I know you keep saying this. So exactly who is censoring anyone's free speech rights? Rush Limbaugh soundbites don't cut with me. Can you give names, dates, legislation proposed or passed and the author of the legislation? Or whatever else you are talking about?Orig posted by t714zu
No, they (liberals and Nazis alike) just want to censor the free speech rights of those who disagree with them, that's all!
Note: You haven't been censored here and the owner of this site is a Liberal.

I have been following anti-faith censorship for years, and believe me it is bad.Originally Posted by Liberal Lil

I could cite for you examples of schools, government, and businesses that have done so or tried to do so over a period of decades. But would you admit this problem exists?
May I steer your attention to a few civil liberties law firms and ask you to browse the case archives? You can see a vast history of bias and censorship.
