    Conservatives only disagree with the religious teachings in these countries because they're not Christian. If they were fundamentalist Christian nations, they'd be held up as examples to follow. LOL (I'm not serious ... mostly anyway).

    But didn't we help create a much more strict religious (muslim) government in Iraq? It used to be secular.

    That's true, but I doubt it was an intentional aim; more just an unfortunate by-product of the various cultures clashes of the major religious groups in the region.
