Aren't most people who think they are oracles downers? Perhaps I am beginning to understand and be one too. I have a sense of humor. Really I do. But when I trot it out I get....... (((LMAO)))

The whole problem with studies about things such as global warming is that there are actually experts who do not agree with the scenario that you here on television about our future demise due to warming caused by humans. Who is to be believed?

I think there must be some credibility to the orbital variation theory. If we come closer to the sun because of orbital variation, then the earth is going to warm. Humans may be causing some warming. The earth is just a planet in a vast universe. We see the death of stars in that universe all the time. And humans have nothing to do with it. There is a life cycle in the universe and natural death is part of it. If anyone thinks this planet is in any in a fixed position but for the actions of man, in that grand scheme of things, then they are incredibly short sighted.

That is a good point. The earth does change because of many variables. I think it is possible that more of the warming is caused by factors other than humans. Then again the majority could be because of humans. I just find it hard to make that call and I find it strange that so many try when they are not qualified to do so.

Well, I guess they think they are qualified.

I am just willing to admit that I personally have no way of knowing how serious the problem is or how much of it is our fault. I actually would like the know the opinions of more people here and more importantly how they came to their conclusions.

Usually that is animist beliefs that report about the big bang and different energy forms. Monotheists do not consider a star to be life.
Usually monotheists consider that their god has given them the earth to exhaust it.

Absolutely correct! I seem to remember reading a recent article where a study, by scientists at MIT, compared global warming predictions to the religious extremists that predict the second coming of Christ.
