people seem to be unaware of this little fact in the debate in health care reform: There are non-profit health care plans.
Of the 138 health plans 100,000+ enrollees, 61% are nonprofit. Of those 138 plans over 90,000,000 are enrolled in non-profit plans.
So isn't this already a non-profit alternative to the "for profit" health insurance providers? Why do we need a government run one if over 90,000,000 people are already getting hc insurance from a provider that isn't out to make a profit?
