ObamaCare will lead to a dramatic decline in employer-provided health insurance—with as many as 78 million Americans forced to find other sources of coverage.

This disturbing finding is based on my calculations from a survey by McKinsey & Company. The survey, published this week in the McKinsey Quarterly, found that up to 50% of employers say they will definitely or probably pursue alternatives to their current health-insurance plan in the years after the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act takes effect in 2014. An estimated 156 million non-elderly Americans get their coverage at work, according to the Employee Benefit Research Institute.

Before the health law passed, the Congressional Budget Office estimated that only nine million to 10 million people, or about 7% of employees who currently get health insurance at work, would switch to government-subsidized insurance. But the McKinsey survey of 1,300 employers across industries, geographies and employer sizes found "that reform will provoke a much greater response" and concludes that the health overhaul law will lead to a "radical restructuring" of job-based health coverage.

Sort of like the prediction that unemployment would not go above 8% it we gave Obama a trillion dollar slush fund to give to SEIU and the NEA. Only this screws over many more people personally. Any wonder why this 'great' 'benefit' was delayed until 2014?

This POS needs to be repealed NOW.

Any elected official voting to keep this POS of a law needs to be repealed in 2012.

Wasn't crashing the system as it is part of the plan?

The end goal is a single-payer government controlled health care system and they aren't going to get there without shaking people off the system that currently exists.

And those are just the people who can't afford insurance at all any more.

When you add in all the people who can still afford insurance, but nothing else....

Companies were pulling back coverage long before Obama ran for public office.
As insurance became more expensive, companies went to plans that cover less, have higher co-pays and have had the employee pay a larger and larger share of the cost.
This is a trend that existed before anyone had heard of Barack Obama, so when the congress finally addressed health care, it's really not an intellectually valid exercise to blame Obama for a problem that has existed for decades, that he is actually trying to address. You are blaming the disease on the doctor...

Sure, their end game is to make health care a completely government run entity.
