155 cases cited when they banned it. It also didn't prevent disease. Unless you consider having a couple extra pounds, or getting tired, diseases.

The only thing I don't like about the public HPV vaccination programs is that they are excluding boys. I mean, why should the girls get vaccinated but not the boys? Seems discriminatory to me.

HPV is also linked to penis cancer in males. And genital warts in both males and females.

The other main ingredient is the actual DNA from the HPV cell. That sounds safe right? This is the only way to illicit the immune response evidently. Small amounts of the virus' DNA and proteins are found floating in your blood stream so hopefully your immune system creates antibodies for it and is better able to fight the disease if you are ever confronted with a real HPV cell.

That's how certain vaccines work.

The problem is that in at least 8% of all cases there were serious adverse reactions including 68 deaths. Obviously this number is less than the 4,000 who die annually from getting HPV, well, actually from getting cervical cancer. But it doesn't diminish the fact that there are safer alternatives. Let me say that again, having 8% of your patients walk away from your treatment with a CDC recognized "serious adverse reaction" is not good business.
