I remember we had to wear dog tags in school to identify our bodies. I can say one thing for Kennedy, He knew touchy feely talks wasn’t the way to go when the 170 million people he was responsible for were in danger.

I think we were damn lucky.

And we owe an eternal debt of gratitude to those 4 Russian Captians who did not fire on our blockade, as ordered by Moskva.

Ha ha ha. That reminds me… When I was an engineering technician we had a Russian team helping us on an artificial heart. We stopped at a grocery store for stuffs to go to a bottle club/titty bar (They spent 5 minutes on the toilet paper isle with there jaw hanging down…) and they freaked when they saw a black guy. They were shown pictures of the Watts riots all through school and thought we were at war or something. But back to your question. Kennedy literally shoved the Russian fleet in the chest locked and loaded. When they tried to go around we got in there path forcing a collision. I would have to say that J.F.K. was not a man to mess with… He was a democrat back when It meant something. Back when I was a democrat.

I readed Robert S Macnamara's book,he said Kennedy object sent US soldiers attack that island.he'd rather arrey short range missiles near Russia.
many US official insist attack that island if Russian still don't uninstall the missiles.

Yea, Macnamara was pretty much the brains behind the Bay of the pigs invasion also. (Two separate historical Incidents under the Kennedy administration while he was Secretary of Defense.)
John F. Kennedy was a war hero himself and would have based his decisions on strengths and integrity’s. He simply used the 7th fleet to chase Russia with there tails between there legs back to there hemisphere without killing everyone. He da man…

I like Macnamara,he is a honest man.he confess he made mistake in Vietnam war.in the begnning of the Vietnam war,he sent many soldiers to Vietnam.but a few year later,he figure out american difficult to win the war,so he wish end the war.but President Johnson believe american can win the war.he refused withdraw troop from Vietnam.there's huge gulf between Macnamara and Johnson.
in that book,Macnamara mentioned pig bay event too.Kennedy said Pig bay event is his fault.it seems Macnamara like president Kennedy
in his book,President Johnson is a good president.he did a good job on human right, clear racism,enducation...etc.Bill Clinton said Johnson is a good president in his book "My life" too

Cuba missiles event also make China-Russia relation being bad.Russian leader blame Chinese leader didn't support Russian in Cuba missiles event.

While Kennedy would have prefered not to have to go head to head with the Russians, he clearly wasn't afraid of htem.

Well, the meaning of the war has been lost to history revisions and anti-American propaganda. I mean, you can imagine the problems we’d have today if ole Kim had both north and south Korean resources. Same thing. If it wasn’t necessary we wouldn’t have been there. People today were not taught that the United States simply supported the French and native anti-Communist forces in Vietnam in resisting efforts by the Communists in the North to control the country.

Macnamar scares me… He seems to have known to much about the future. Did you know he was responsible for retrofitting the old Ford Comet line into the Ford Mustang line using leftover parts to valuable to discard? He knew things he shouldn’t have. He also advised Henry Ford against making the Edsil telling him it would fail.
