Default Dachau massacre

In Dachau.more than 500 POWs of Waffen-SS soldiers were killed by US ARMY.But we will never get the exact number.Without the book of Howard Buechner, The Hour of the Avenger,we might never know what had happened there.

http://www.scrapbookpages.com/Dachau...erAccount.html

The author said:"General George S. Patton, commander of the US Third Army, had just been appointed the military governor of Bavaria and when he learned of the incident, he ordered all the reports and documentation of this war crime to be brought to his office. He tore up all the papers, dumped them into a metal waste can and then personally set it on fire. Col. Buechner's account, for which there is no proof whatsoever, has also brought shame on General Patton, who was a true American hero."

Maybe they really killed 500 former Waffen-SS soldiers there. But when looking at the other war crimes that took place during this war, this is by far the one I would shed the fewest tears.

After all, those from the Waffen SS deserved it to 90% for sure. As no one was forced to be at the Waffen SS and it was them who committed themselves the worst war crimes ever.

Thanks for reply.I am still finding articles for know more.So I say "we will never get the exact number.".Maybe more or less, but the massacre is true.Though I do not trust in God,I am sure killing one or 100 people is the same .
In fact I am interested in the coverup of massacre by US government. How could US bury the facts for 41 years? For getting an answer I give this thread.
Need more information.

Maybe you hadn't read the two links I gave. Many of them didn't work for Dachau. They'd just return from east front several days ago.
The links told me this.I am not sure.

Guess what the Waffen SS did at the east fron. It was not praying for world peace. It was the Waffen SS that shot all the Jews instantly at place that where not deported to a KZ and let them dig in the east their own graves before they shot them.

But of course, it was not right that the Allied general shot those members of the Waffen SS. Many things were wrong in this war though, and the Waffen SS members often enough were one of the most deeply envolved and all together were strong and firm believers in the Nazi ideology.

I'm sure a lot German POWs were murdered. (Here I'm speaking just from my own thoughts, no research or sources behind it). In a war as brutal as World War II, I would be surprised if every American soldier treated the German POWs properly. 500 seems to be a high number for a single massacre, that no one knew about. I find it hard to believe that even the US government could keep something like that quiet for all these years. I suppose it's not impossible though.

Well this is totally stupid.
Let's see...
73% of a population of innocent civilians (Jews) were massacred.
They started a war that killed:
502,000 French, including 270,000 civilians
2.5 MILLION Polish civilians (majority Jews)
19 MILLION Russian civilians and 27 MILLION military
600,000 American military
12.1 MILLION Chinese
400,000 Japanese citizens
2 MILLION German citizens

and on and on...

Gee that damn American General...how dare he kill 500 SS Soldiers (mabye)

What a stupid thread.

That's exctly what I thought when I heard the case.
In China,I had never heard any brutal things done by our army publicly....There is war, there is killing, there is crime. An army without crime? It must from mars.
