Senate passes law approving 370 mile triple layer fence at Mexican Border.

Since the border is 2000 miles long this is a poke in the eye of most US voters who want the border shut down..........

A wall is needed to stop:

40 percent of all workers are working for cash and not paying taxes. Why would they want to be legal and pay taxes? They would be able to start bringing the rest of their families to the USA.

75 percent of people on L.A.’s most-wanted list are illegal aliens.

Over two-thirds of all births are to illegal alien Mexicans on Medi-Cal whose births were paid for by the taxpayers.

Nearly 25 percent of all inmates in California detention centers are here illegally.

Over 300,000 illegals are living in garages.

The FBI reports half of all gang members in Los Angeles are most likely illegals from south of the border.

Nearly 60 percent of all occupants of HUD properties are illegal.

Of the 10 million people in Los Angeles County, 5.1 million speak English and 3.9 million speak Spanish.

21 radio stations in Los Angeles are Spanish speaking.

More statistics:

Less than 2 percent of illegals are picking crops but 29 percent are on welfare.

Over 70 percent of the U.S. annual population growth (over 90 percent of California, Florida and New York) are from immigration.

29 percent of inmates in the federal prisons are illegal aliens.

The lifetime fiscal impact (taxes minus services used) for the average adult Mexican immigrant is a negative.

They also send between about $15 billion back to Mexico to assist their families and prop up the corrupt Mexican government that keeps most of its citizens in poverty. How about a revolt in their own country!

A new figure from yesterday: It cost Los Angeles $276 million in welfare costs for 100,000 children of illegal aliens.

1) dumbing down of our schools.......no English

2) monopolizing of our public parks...the new Mexican backyard

3) Blighted neighborhoods.....research google images...Santa Ana, CA

4) Selling fruit and ice creams from freeway mediums....3rd world style

5) Increased traffic........LA traffic 'very light' during Mexican street protests

6) Junk cars with no insurance....lurking dangers

7) Closing of Emergency Rooms...aka mexican health care

8) Huge flow of drugs into US from mexico

9) Virulent and racist reconquista movement

10) Banda music blaring all night so neighbors can't sleep

IMO we should just build a minefield.

Thank God that saner people are in charge. A minefield is an assinine idea even if it's meant to deter illegals. Hell, I don't want them here illegally either but to set out minefields that indiscriminately blow people to pieces or just maim them for life would be sick. How would you feel if a kid had his legs blown off because his parents were crossing illegally?

I definitely for a wall and for punishing employers who hire illegals but I also think that we need to punish those that are here illegally and amnesty doesn't punish them. Deport those that have been here less than five years, give one-year work permits to those here five to ten years and those here ten or more years, make them pay backtaxes, LEARN ENGLISH, and take the citizenship test.

Slon always wins in his dreams. He doesn't understand what you say in your posts, and even after you repeat it for him ten times he still doesn't understand. To him this means he "wins" and you "lose." It's kind of like arguing with a brick wall.

Stuff like this "21 radio stations in Los Angeles are Spanish speaking. " makes me think to myself... "so what?".

Many of the stations around here play country music or rap and R&B. I dislike that kind of programing, so I don't listen.

I agree So Fucking What! It just makes me want to learn Spanish and glad that I will get lots of chances to practise speaking it. What's so scary about Spanish speaking people anyway? A wall is a really dumb waste of my tax dollars. All we have to do is enforce the laws we already have. Fine the employers and deport the illegal workers. The bill has no chance of passing. The laws won't be enforced. The illegals will all stay. Because the rich are making money off them and the Republicans love money!
