Patronize me if you must.

I have absolutely no problem with any nationality. My issue is with illegal immigration.

Illegal immigrants overburden the state/countries infrastructure without contributing to it.

I was in line today at a Starbucks behind a hispanic speaking woman. She was ordering a drink. It took her 15 minutes.

Perhaps where you are, there is not the population density we deal with here...

I did notice that your sarcastic tirade did not include anything to refute any of my points.

I am very tired of paying to support people that do not contribute. I am further frustrated by being inconvienced by the problems created by a large percentage of the population not speaking the English language. Incidentally, I do not want to spend the time to learn Spanish, and resent being forced to adapt.

If I moved to another Country, you can bet I would learn to speak the language...

Your pathetic attempt to weaken my arguments via loosely related personal attack only strengthens my resolve.

The issue is not whether my kid learns Spanish, it is rather, that classroom time that should be spent teaching elementary subjects is wasted trying to teach illegal immigrants english...

I can see that you are young and have no children. If you did, I might imagine that your take on the matter would be a bit more serious...

Thank you for illuminating your true nature. I had mistaken you for someone a bit more... mature.

You named your thread "Vexed by Mexico". I am tired of the illegal immigration issue being blamed on Mexico and Mexicans. Your assumptions about Mexico and me are both inaccurate. I live in New Mexico, and moved here by choice.

Don't worry, the refutin' is comin'.

Hasta el lunes. How's that for my "Hispanic"?

Sorry Lil as much as I disagree with this guys tactics and some of his comments, it is in fact mostly Mexicans that are causing the problem today and clearly the Mexican government is doing nothing to stem the tide, in fact actually seems to be encouraging it.

With all due respect to everyones sensibilities, nothing is being done.

Meanwhile the problem is worsening everyday.

I reiterate, that if you are not feeling as passionately about this as I, perhaps you are in a very different demographic.

I am very interested regarding any solutions you may have. I bear no malice toward anybody.

With that said, we have an overwhelming issue that threatens our entire state's economy and infrastructure. Moreover, the vast and glaring national security issue, is alarming.

Incidentally, and with all due respect, the illegal immigration is overwhelmingly coming from Mexico... I am alarmed by all illegal immigration, but perhaps due to my proximity, the Mexican sector is especially vexing.

Estimates of Origin into the United States

Africa & Other - 4%
0.4 Million

Europe & Canada - 6%
0.6 Million

Asia - 14%
1.6 Million

Other Latin America - 22%
2.5 Million

Mexico - 54%
5.9 Million

Source = http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Illegal..._United_States

So between Latin America and Mexico we are at 76%... Would you rather I blame, the Canadians?

Again I believe these numbers to be low. I believe there are more than twice the number of Mexican Illegals here...

I am not questioning yur numbers. What I do question is the histrioics employed by the OP to try and make a point. That simply isn't necessary and frankly does tend to gove those that claim people who are opposed to illegal immigration are racist. there is no need for that. All one need say is it is illegal and that frankly is enough.

A rose by any other name...

Regardless. What I find stunning is the fact that people will actually argue for Illegal Immigration, or at least for status quo.

Status quo obviously doesn't work. I fail to see what the problem is in securing our borders.

Immigration can continue legally. There will always be immigration. I support it. In fact I am proud to live in a country that is the envy of the modern world... The issue is not immigration, nor is it racial. It is an issue of legality and accountability.

This is a no-brainer...
