So far this is the first I've seen on this. Employer gets rid of an illegal alien and the illegal alien and some of his friends, I'm assuming, return in an attempt to assault the man.

Outrageous.

Spot on. The only thing the immigration status of these criminals should effect is to make sure that once they serve their prison time and are deported, they are never permitted into the country again.

This is a story that should be a cut and dry case of assualt, but will probably be used to stir up anti-immigration sentiments.

Jail 'em and deport 'em, I say. Just don't use this to paint all immigrants as brutal thugs.

Agreed, Speakeasy. Matt conveyed the feeling that I have, I just posted it within this forum because of it's message of an employer doing the right thing.

If we had all employers with a like-minded attitude, I think we'd see this problem fix itself a lot faster. There'd be no need of a 'mass roundup' or what have you.
