Horrible, but true. In fact, the employers are the key to this entire issue. Millions would leave in droves if the law were simply applied to the employers who hired them. If they know they can not get jobs, why would they stay? You would see millions of them leave.

I agree with your opinion. That is why I tend to prefer a welfare-state model over a warfare-state model. More market friendly policies will also tend to increase revenue, ceteris paribus.
I am of the opinion, that a better system of market friendly immigration policies would also help generate enough revenue to be self-sufficient. |
