    Default Correlation or Not ?

It appears that States with the HIGEST RATES of UNEMPLOYMENT have the LOWEST PERCENTAGE of HISPANIC POPULATION !

What does this tell you ?

It's the Republicans not the Hispanics that have stolen your job and off shored it. IMO !

And this data is coming from where...? (Not saying that it is or is not the case, would just like to see it before commenting.)

Who knows? But it could mean that the rust belt was hit harder by the economic downturn than the States closer to the southern border.
There are known knowns. These are things we know that we know. There are known unknowns. That is to say, there are things that we know we don't know. But there are also unknown unknowns. There are things we don't know we don't know. -- Rummy

California, which has a very large Hispanic population, has the second highest unemployment rate in the country (11.9%), surpassed only by Nevada:

    Unemployment rates by State

    Arizona's at 9.3%, New Mexico's as 7.6% and Texas is at 8.0%.

    Conversely, North Dakota's at 3.3%. Nebraska's at 4.2%.

So, what does this "tell me"?

It tells me that you claim is bullshit, and that you don't have a fucking clue what you're talking about.

    Run along, now...

According to your own links and a little additional research the states with the highest percentages of hispanic population are (in no particular order but generally given by county anyway) are Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, California, Nevada, Colorado, and Florida (southern Florida really but again by county stats so overall.) Now, using the first one you came up with and using their April reported numbers for unemployment (which was what was available off the site) those states unemployment numbers are 8.0% for Texas, 7.6% for New Mexico, 9.3% for Arizona, 11.9% for California, 12.5% for Nevada, 8.8% for Colorado, and 10.8% for Florida. In April (staying with these numbers and dates) the overall national reported number was 9.0%.

Of the seven listed states (again, those with the highest hispanic population), 4 of 7 (the majority) beat the national average making your theory absolute bullshit in every regard. Colorado got close with 8.8% almost making it 5 of 7 states with the highest percentage of hispanic population and being above the national average at the time. Overall there is no correlation between hispanic population and being able to stay under the national average for unemployment in those states vs. others. In fact, the opposite could be shown with a little additional work and breaking it down further by county.

    What else do you have?

At least you're one of the few that gets off his/her ass to rebut with some facts of their own.

Let me tell you how I arrived at the facts that prove what I say.

    A. I correlated the unemployment rate of each state with the percent of hispanics residing there. (both from reliable sources)

    B. Then I looked only at the states with high unemployment rates (higher than 8% that had low hispanic residence.

    C. I ignored all states that had a low hispanic residence and under 8% unemployment as not relevant to the argument illegals are taking their jobs

    D. The states you mention are the exception to my remarks (Texas as an exception to the exception and seems to be excluded from the analysis because it is not over 8% even with 37.6 % hispanic. Of the other states you mention most are agricultural and hughin Hispanic count because of their use in picking and tending our crops. Who among us would have lost their job because of them ?

    E. I myself lean "right" in respect to money and would be among the first to screem If I thought you were right. Many seem to prove Barnum was right !
