Nah, you want "para continuar en espaņol ... " - LC the language, & you really need the tilde. (The heart of parody - you have to get all those little details right ...)
This has been an official language police stop. Move along now, nothing to hear. Have a nice day.
Again, I have over-estimated the intelligence of some posters in this forum. I might suggest you do some reading on upper class Mexicans in Mexico. I think you will find that they consider the poor as a nuisance. I don't go that far, but they are certainly a drain on the U. S. economy to the tune of $113 BILLION a year, and they do not belong here. These are law breakers. This is a law enforcement question. FAIR: Illegal Immigration a $113 Billion a Year Drain on U.S. Taxpayers
Now, if you, C-B-M, want to pick up the tab for these freeloaders, I suggest you join La Raza and start writing checks. As you do so, look into the objectives of La Raza, and decide if they are a threat to the American way of life. You sure don't need a four year degree to figure this one out.http://www.nclr.org/
P. S. spelling counts, 'our' not 'are.'
I think we would all like to see a fact/link to substantiate your posts.

Permit me to venture at this point that I am fortunate to be far enough up the food chain, that I really don't care if they speak Chinese in the L. A. barrio!!! I will never hear it.
To me it is an irritation to have foreigners make me feel like an outsider in my own country. One side of my family traces it's roots back to Virginia before the American Revolution. I think much of the problem is due to America's preoccupation with money over preserving American culture. So, I blame ourselves for dropping the ball on American cultural security. This is part of why I make an internet effort on illegal immigration. It is a patriotic consideration.
Last year Arizona attempted legislation to remove illegals using denial of birth certificates. This year berry pickers stayed out of Georgia for fear of deportation by that State. The intensity of the situation allowed berries die on their vines. By the way those berry pickers make $12 an hour which is nearly $25,000 a year. Yes, I would say there are a lot of Americans who want an end to Spanish language/accents on American streets.
Spanish-American, Miguel Sanchez is no fool, his family built one of the largest medical supply houses in Southern California. I doubt Miguel would be throwing away $4,300 a year on unnecessary tuition.
You do not understand the deep-seeded anger American citizens feel about the drain illegals put on our economy, and the way illegals dilute our culture. Visit the barrio in East Los Angeles, it is like a quick trip to Tijuana slum.
If you are interested, you might want to Google the phrase 'second class American citizens.' Personally, I do not want to get into that, but you would do well to make yourself aware that such attitudes exist, AND ARE EXPLOITED. Just because your anchor baby stuck, does not mean you are in the CITIZEN'S club.
I think it is very sad. Illegal families who spend their entire lives living in the shadows, and losing opportunities because they did not play by the rules. Ah..... I guess we reap what we sow.
Stop by next week with a welcome basket,
they will be moving into a house near you!

See, Latterbach, it's funny because you're SO into this topic that you're not even coherently reading what I write. You keep saying that because I don't agree with what you are saying that I am for illegal immigration. That's a fallacy. I'm quite for enforcing immigration laws and deporting illegals. All I said was that nobody cares if someone has an accent while speaking English. OMG! But feel free to keep going crazy and ripping at your hair.![]()
C-B-M. Come on. Be real. You clearly have an agenda on illegal immigration, and I am merely flaming to it. Your posts are all over the place, and lack clarity. I have enjoyed pulling your chain, and now it looks like this thread is done. You might as well have the last word, you strike me as the kind of guy that just has to have it!
My last thought is this disgraceful utube. Enjoy.

Oh, that's interesting. So you're actually FOR illegal immigration? And you think that your posts have been clever because you've been saying over-the-top things that I haven't agreed with (e.g., "anyone with an accent needs to be deported!!!")? That's pretty funny. Just not very intelligent.

You'll hear a lot of Spanish in CA, TX, NM & other places (with 36%, 36% & 44% Hispanic population in 2006 - NYT Almanac, 2009). & of course, you'll hear other languages than English as long as we are off in Iraq, Afghanistan, & others fighting wars. Spanish predates all but the Native People's languages in the Americas - a simple fact of history. & the US conquered what's now the SW from Mexico. I suppose you can say that the Manifest ran out of Destiny.
Culturally - it's a question of what strands make up the US. The US has typically been open to novelty - the conservatives stayed in the UK or wherever in the Old Country. So where do you want to draw the line? At the Irish waves during the Potato Famine? The various peoples fleeing WWI & WWII? Maybe @ the Norman invasion of England? We've adopted corn, potato, chocolate, tobacco. But that domestication was done by the Native Peoples, with roots in South & Central America.
Salsa outsells ketchup in the US - ironic because ketchup itself is from India, imported via the Brits. Other than the Native Peoples, the US is made up of people who came after. As our domestic population growth by births drops off, we could do worse than take in people who want to be here to work & raise their families.
Or would you like to take on France's problems integrating a good-sized Islamic minority? That hasn't gone well. Count your blessings - Hispanics tend to be Christians, Spanish & Portuguese are Western languages, using mostly the same alphabet, reading from left to right, top to bottom. What's not to like?
On economics - the service industry would collapse without people willing to work those jobs - & so would childcare, gardening, unskilled & semiskilled labor - or they would have to pay better wages to attract workers. & if you somehow managed to expel 12,000,000 undocumented (one of the estimates), you could expect a lot of vacancies, unsold groceries, uncooked fast-food meals, FICA $ that would not be paid & never claimed, cars, appliances, furniture unsold ... I think the domestic economy would implode. Even more than it has so far.
Of course I endorse LEGAL immigration, it is a cornerstone of our republic. What I am against is thieves sneaking in the back door and stealing $113 Billion a year from American taxpayers. Call them illegal aliens or freeloaders, the result is the same - wasted resources. I don't know, nor do I care if my posts are clever, but I do care that they are clear. I trust they are, I have two degrees in communication, and make a living at a national advertising agency.
I never said "anyone with an accent needs to be deported." I said you can tell by the accent of a person if they may be illegal, and should be questioned further.
Participating clearly in a message board is difficult enough without a poor communicator muddying up the issues by telling other members what I think for me. I knowI can communicate adequately. Did I mention my second degree was an MBA from Northwestern on a scholarship?
Again, it seems like you want the last word on this topic - take it and enjoy yourself. I am tired of repeating the obvious for you. I will stay as long as there are legitimate questions to be answered on this issue, but I am not going to have a verbal circle jerk with you. If you have any more questions for me please ask them now, other please close this topic. Thank you for your consideration.

I'm not looking for the "last word." I just had no idea where you were coming from. After all, I said I was against illegal immigration and pro-deportation and you said you were "pulling my chain," which to me means that you were just saying stuff to bait my position.
