Holy shit. This is definitely an impeachable offense. I'll let the facts speak for themselves -
New DHS rules cancel deportations - Washington Times
Can't edit the misspell on the topic - doh!

Ah, the Rev. Sun Moon Yoong's very own personal mouthpiece. Sure, I want to know what the Great Leader's take is on everything.
& besides, what I understood from less big-in-the-throat commentators is that the domestic US economy is ugly enough that undocumented are leaving the US to return to points south. There was even some light-hearted banter to the effect that the last person to leave the US should turn out the lights. (& some not-so-light-hearted commentary that maybe we should all learn a little Spanish & head south ourselves, if the economy there continues to improve to the point that net labor flows return home ... solo estoy diciendo/just sayin'.)
& it actually makes sense to pursue undocumented who happen to be felons first, doesn't it? I would certainly feel safer if I knew the government were doing the right thing in the field ...
Part of that is most certainly politics and courting the Hispanic base. Part of that is also just pragmatic given resources. He isn't breaking any laws from what I read. He's ordered prioritising in the civil immigration system, which cops and prosecutors do all the time exercising discretion in the criminal law system. From the article in the OP:
Getting rid of felons should be key and the priority. With tens of millions of illegals here, that's a huge drain to go after everyone and not even in particular order. The criminal justice system would shut down without exercising discretion in prosecution as well as plea bargaining, etc. Add the piles of civil immigration cases to the mix, it's simply overwhelming.. . . But in letters to Congress on Thursday, Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano said she does have discretion to focus on “priorities” and that her department and the Justice Department will review all ongoing cases to see who meets the new criteria.
“This case-by-case approach will enhance public safety,” she said. “Immigration judges will be able to more swiftly adjudicate high-priority cases, such as those involving convicted felons.” . . .
Actually all this does is once again highlight the need for comprehensive immigration reform where each side ought to shut the fuck up and compromise so the current batch of illegals like those referenced in the articles getting low priority get processed in the most advantageous way into society whilst providing a sensible immigration reform for legal entry and with an enforced border with tough sanctions for future illegal entry and/or residency. These things are going to be a combination of the Dem and GOP approaches seeking to get the best of the ideas and shave the harder or more reckless edges off each side.
I'm not particularly in the mood to hear much BS from the two parties here anymore on this topic. Neither the Dems or the GOP have yet to debate and package such a plan. I want to see a damn result, and I'm going to treat anyone negatively who plays undue partisan shenanigans towards results that are unreasonable and spoil a result.
IMO, Obama hasn't honoured his promises to his own base and the nation here yet as to what he said he wants to do by bringing comprehensive immigration reform to the forefront like he did with health care. The federal side of the GOP has done jack shit itself and ought to stop doing nothing and looking to blame the POTUS for policies like this when they've done jack shit themselves. And both parties ought to stop the shit and get reasonable insofar as trying to work a deal with each other so it gets resolved and the nation can move on as best as possible from it. It's time for them to shut up and just do it.
From the article.....
deadlocked in congress? Congress is not in session, how is it deadlocked ?The move won immediate praise from Hispanic activists and Democrats who had strenuously argued with the administration that it did have authority to take these actions, and said as long as Congress is deadlocked on the issue, it was up to Mr. Obama to act.
More reason to kick this retard and others out of office![]()
Fuck Gold...invest in guns, ammo, survival guide...you and your family will need them.
Mark Levin for President !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So this will effectively end deportation of illegals as all those who are a 'priority' for deportation wait for their cases to eventually be reviewed at some point in time when the Obama administration feels like enforcing American sovereignty?

Gee it seems some folks don't seem to understand just who" the good people who are being ruined by bad laws" and policies are. Hint, hint...it's American Citizens not Illegal Aliens undermining employment in the U.S. and business that is continually allowed to exploit that criminal labor force."Today’s announcement shows that this president is willing to put muscle behind his words and to use his power to intervene when the lives of good people are being ruined by bad laws,” - said Rep. Luis V. Gutierrez, Illinois Democrat

When they call you racist, they mean they lack the intelligence, intellect, and composure to examine facts and engage in actual debate on the topic.

A little back story here. I had been posting on a political forum that was just shut down and intended to take a break from political discussion for a while. Then I saw this story and got so pissed off that I immediately changed my mind.
Stories like this tell you exactly what liberals think about this country. The leftists in charge are basically people who hate it and only use it for purposes of social and monetary redistribution. It's not "fair" that some people are citizens of America and others aren't ...so let's just make everyone a citizen if they want to be and, oh yeah, then we can provide social services to them that other people get to pay for. It's incredible how much this country has changed over the past term.
You look at the news headlines just from this week and it makes your mind boggle. A court ruling that Obamacare's mandate that you have health insurance is unconstitutional. Stocks are falling amid speculation of an American recession. Unemployment remains high. Now the administration states that it won't enforce immigration policy. This is America? LOL. And to think we got this because liberals bashed Republicans relentlessly for eight years enough for the uninformed moderates to buy into empty promises of "hope and change." Those same moderates are now running from Obama because they JUST NOW realized what a disaster he is. Thanks, guys. Better late than never, I guess.
The worst part of it is, whatever the liberals give during this term, we will never be able to take back. Once you give something, it becomes an entitlement and everyone gets all scared to touch it. So we're going to forevermore have this de facto DREAM Act because anyone who touches it will get screamed at about being racist by all the usual NAACP/ACLU morons.
