Lets see the new jobs .. one flagman in Ohio and a store clerk in DC. Yah and I'm gonna need you to come in this weekend.

Most highway construction sites I drive through are manned by people who barely speak English.

IMO those easy flagger jobs should go to the older guys on the crew who are near retirement and have put in their time doing hard work. Not some broad who gets the job just because she has a nice ass and the company needs to hire their quota of women.

Doesn't make sense economically though. You take an older and more experienced man from the crew and pay him double digits to wave a flag, then hire his replacement with less experience, start him at the lower end of double digits, spend time training him thus slowing up the whole job. Or, you could keep your experienced older guy where he is and hire a woman for minimum wage to wave the flag.
BTW, I'm fairly sure a woman applying for the job is doing so because she needs to work.
