Thread: Cheap bastards!

Just a little general rant here...

We have community restrooms in my office complex. The buildings are owned condo style and between each set of buildings is a restroom. It's kind of nice in that it's one less maintenance issue we have with the office and every month we rotate the responsibility for purchasing community supplies(light bulbs, hand soap, paper towels, TOILET TISSUE, etc.) between the building owners. Generally it's no big deal. Most of us just head on down to Costco or the local janitorial supplier and purchase enough stuff to last us a month.

Unfortunately, someone around here has decided to be a cheap bastard!

I just used the restroom and discovered that some asshat decided to buy some kind of cheap, single ply, 80 grit toilet paper.

Y'know...it's called toilet "tissue" for a reason.

I'm not the least bit impressed that some uber-frugal yahoo managed to save a nickel by buying this crap that comes 30,000 sheets to the roll, requires 300 sheets just to come up with a respectable wad and then carves flesh when applied to skin. If I wanted that I could just crumple up some of the junk mail I get and use that for free!

Look, I'm not the most dainty guy on the block. I've spent enough time in the military and in the back country using slit trenches and foliage that I'm far from shy but this is supposed to be civilization! Is it really too much to ask for a little 2-ply?

I don't need the embossing and the "squeezably soft". I sure as hell don't expect scented or soothing lotion added. All I want is something that will get the job done while leaving my skin intact and my hand unsullied. I mean, really, this isn't a process where I want to risk paper cuts.

I really hate cheap bastards.

Grrrrr! If they do it again I'm going to start using the sink for a bidet.

I dont quite get it. Did the landlord buy the cheapest toilet paper he could find in order to keep more of the money for himself?

Not exactly. There are several buildings in the complex and most of us own the building we occupy so each of who own a building take turns buying supplies for the common areas. One of the owners just seems to have decided to either purchase the cheapest supplies he could find or, more likely, was talked into a "great deal" at the supply store.

Well, I am low on topics this days and mostly surrounded by "Cheap bastards!". So, I thought, this could be interesting.
And well, it´s about toilet paper...

Poor people don´t need toilet paper or homes. Newspapers can be so useful, if you don´t read their stuff...

But back to tpoic. Toilet paper is often better described with emery paper, when you "visit" public places.
In companies, you can store your own paper anywhere

Y'know...the last time this happened the board meeting was a riot. I don't recall who actually ended up taking the hit but there were all kinds of proposals for amending the bylaws. If I remember correctly at one point someone suggested that we should stop buying and just use the suggestions for the next month!

You have board meetings about this stuff??
