Sad isn't it Andrew? Doesn't give me much hope that the human race will wake up and make the proper changes so that our planet continues to support human life. Hopefully the posters on this thread don't reflect the majority of the humans with the power to make the needed changes.

Yes it is sad. I have no idea if the Gore movie is a good take on the global warming issue or if it is just a sensationalist media event designed to rake in the dollars. (I have been impressed by gore in the past on this issue so i am thinking he treats the subject fairly, and if he makes a buck or two good for him, that is the american way after all). But what i found striking in this thread is that it was ignored completely just because gore is the messenger...... that is just stupid.

Sam, I'm going to watch it when I can find it. not because of Gore, but because of the statements made today on TV by it's producer. --and as you say. because it may have a beneficial effect. In this case, shoot the mesenger but only after hearing the message.
