Please mark only two answers: the answer to the question and the political affiliation that best represents you.
Well, I saw a report on The O'Reilly Factor last night talking about whether Americans liked or disliked their country. I am hesitant to trust O'Reilly's results given that the majority of his audience is conservative. He really nailed libs last night because only 44% said they liked the US, and 44% said they did not. 77% of conservatives said they liked this country. I know this is a general poll that really doesn't leave room for elaboration, but I figured you could use a post to elaborate on your answer.
You can use any reasoning you want to answer this question. I was just hoping to spark some debate because it seems that all of our current threads are losing interest.
"If ye love wealth greater than liberty, the tranquility of servitude greater than the animating contest for freedom, go home from us in peace. We seek not your counsel, nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you; May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen."

That's a pretty vague question, but I'm going to go with 'yes'. Overall, I like my country. Is it perfect? No. Is it some kind of paradise? No. Is it a good place to live? Yes (but then again, I've never lived in another country). I'm not sure how else to answer that question.
Oh good lord.
To vague.

i love the usa
Ummm, assuming you every get any "no" votes, how are you going to know which party vote they're connect to?
As a libertarian, I don't have the partisan blinders that some have regarding the numerous problems with the USA, but it's still not a bad place to live, and by many measures the best place to live.

Yes I like the USA and I am a Democrat.
Oh and O'Reilly is an ass.

Anyone who thinks freedom comes cheap, please put the blindfold on and stand against the wall.
IT IS TIME for Americans to take back the country and start a new government.
Yeah, I know it's a vague question, but I really didn't know how to formulate this kind of poll with out leaving an obscene amount of choices like:
I like the US because of this
I like the US because of that
I don't like the US because of this
(You get the picture, chances are 30 spaces wouldn't be enough)

The party they are in really isn't important to me. It was to O'Reilly just because he wanted to put down libs. I just wanted everyone to see the diversity of the votes that have been cast. However, if this little poll goes anything like O'Reilly's, "no" votes will be cast. So far, though, it seems as though libs aren't nearly as "bad" as O'Reilly claims they are.
