See, THATS another part of the battle. They want to SILENCE any opposition TOO. They'll use ANYTHING to DO that. They HAVE to silence us because they know that given the choice between health and sickness people will choose health everytime. If they can silence us then they can make their ideas look like healthy and wise choices.
Well the real thing is the kids. It's your say, and the say of anyone with a child how their child will be raised and what they will be taught. You most certainly have a right to voice your opinion there. I think that people have a right to talk about what their children should be exposed to in schools, in popular entertainment and from the government.

As for being called a bigot, well I may be a bigot. I'm open to the possibility, and I will allow people to argue that with me, so long as they do not just go hog-wild making whatever personal attack they feel like.

So, guys. How 'bout that thread topic?

You know, the one that used gay marriage as an example, but was not intended to be the center of discussion?

Well, yeah. I understand. But our society is rejecting over and over and over legitimizing "gay".

Not sure some folks will ever get that figured out. But here's yet another example of a recent rejection of "gay" from the mainstream:

Calif. Legislature scales back bill to promote gays in textbooks

The state Assembly on Monday gutted a bill that would have required California textbooks to include the historical contributions of gay people, amending it to say only that school material should not be discriminatory toward gays.

That the TOPIC Is the changing nature of societal ethics and the latest, most outrageous push for "changing" societal ethics has to do with mainstreaming homosexuality, is by its very nature going to bind these together.

If you don't LIKE that fact you don't HAVE to take part here. I guess we could talk about the effects of too much football on TV or something.

Or the effects on our ethics toward one another that driving vehicles has. Other suggestions are welcome. The latest big one though is homosexuals attempt to redefine marriage for the entire population of the U.S.

Although I believe that my earlier post was within the bounds of this thread topic, it seems to have taken a course towards a more narrow scope lately. So I've created a new thread on the subject of the trajectory of US policy on homosexuality.

There may be some other sociology or anthropology or something else these lads wish to discuss here. I'll save my ire for others. Care to join me on that new thread?

It was interesting until it slowly started turning into another gay marriage thread. We already have 87,731 of those around here, we should leave this one be. It is about the general nature of societal ethics changing, not specifically about one issue, such as gay marriage.

I haven't taken part in this thread, but I have been reading it since it began.

Though I do not agree with some of goodtrips comments, I respect him enough to give him his space.
