Too many innocent people have been martyred in front of firing squad in the last few decades. Saddam standing tall in front of a wall, blind folded in front of a firing squad is going to make him look like a victim. It would be a big mistake.

Not to mention that it makes it look like a military execution. Symbolism is all wrong. It would be big mistake.

I wouldn't be so sure. Iraqis have their pride and for all he did, Hussein was still the head of the Iraqi state.

I think it would be fitting if he faced a firing squad of BB guns, it ought to take several days of misery before he finally died.

You could be right, but I seem to recall reading somewhere that hanging is the law for these things? At any rate, I don't care either way. Knowing that he is rotting in a prison cell and being tried for his crimes is justice enough. The method of his execution is of no consequence to me.
