    Default wagerin'

ahoy oh mighty mods and admins!

me suggestion be this; put some system in place so sig bets can take place o'er some 'o the issues we discuss here.

it would add a feelin' 'o fun and mirth to our more heated debates.

say, fer instance, Forplay says that Sarah Palin will be president in the 2012 elections. i then, could wager 1000 'o me post count total against his that she wouldn't.

    'tis just a suggestion.

    aye.

Perhaps not betting with post counts but some sort of "credibility" scoring could lead to down the road entertainment. On the other hand this could more likely lead to an even moreso combative, moreso personally attacking, lesser information exchange for the purpose of political discussion and debate than we already have now. I fear my friend, this idea could just open up a new can of worms for us to deal with in later higher difficulty among members. Besides, we already have enough "gotcha" moments when something someone has said ends up being flat out wrong, absent of data to back it up, or just simply never realized from forward looking statements and predictions.

Better than the money I had to cough up for the Alabama Republicans.

    That one hurt.

    ahoy Sluggo,

    oh, i dunno me friend...

i think it would be great fun to wager against, fer example, Forplay and knock his arse back to 1 post count...to clean'm out.

i like the "put up or shut" up nature 'o this kinda wagerin'. it might even lessen some 'o the more absurd remarks that folks make on both sides 'o the aisle.

Made a bet here on USPOL and lost it (arguably not in the most honorable way, but I'm a man of my word). My money went to the GOP in Alabama. There's a pic on my profile of my payment.

There are known knowns. These are things we know that we know. There are known unknowns. That is to say, there are things that we know we don't know. But there are also unknown unknowns. There are things we don't know we don't know. -- Rummy
