matey, i miss them award things that ye and Mrs. M used to do. i felt they were both funny and gave our fair forums a sense 'o community, without the usual acrimony thats flung to and fro in various USPO threads.

if yer too busy, i'd like to carry on this mighty tradition.

could ye perhaps advise me on how ye set things up?

if i get a blessin' from Traveler and Mrs. M, maybe they'll consider just such an important award, and add it to thar lists. imma leave it up to them, but since both 'o them now reside on the bridge, thar duties may be too varied to allow'm to skipper another USPO members awards poll.

imma sit here and see if them two respond.

Well we were set to do the awards ourselves but usually they come at the back end of the year (usually November, and then the voting is through December) and that's the same we were gonna go with this year as well...i think Mrs. M mentioned it briefly and the idea was just to do it the same as the previous years. We'll probably change a few of the catergories as some of them just get no traction/votes/more than one nominee but i guess he staff will hash that out before hand.

Btw i do appreciate the offer to help, and whilst it would be nice to have a bit less work come the holiday season unfortunately it wouldn't be possible due to the restrictions per day of threads being created. (It'd take you at least a week and a half to get the polls up). Also the threads are usually created privately (staff areas or private forums) and then moved out here. Thanks for the offer though.
