Default The Chocolate Poodle (Belgium) gets all uppity

On Wednesday, Secretary of State Rice landed in Belgium for a visit to Nato headquarters and other meetings. One of the chocolate poodles, a Belgian protocol official, tried to take on the Secret Service and claim Air Force Two for Belgium.

As officials were preparing to receive Rice, reporters started to move too close to Air Force Two. Secret Service agents tried to move them back when a protocol official tried to claim the Boeing 757 for his country! "This is not your plane. You are in Belgium. We are the boss here. You are in Belgium."

Rice with Belgian fries, please!
On Wednesday, Condoleezza Rice arrived in Brussels to visit NATO headquarters. She also had a meeting with the European Commission, with Belgian prime minister Guy Verhofstadt and minister of foreign affairs Karel De Gucht.

Around 11:15 am, while Air Force Two the modified Boeing 757 was taxiing on the tarmac and officials were preparing to welcome the Secretary of State, Secret Service Diplomatic Security Service personnel and Belgian protocol officials were quarrelling about how close reporters could approach the plane.

Let's have a look at some screenshots from Belgian commercial TV station VTM:

A Belgian protocol chief disagrees: "This is not your plane..."

"... you are in Belgium!..."

"... we are the boss here ..." (Belgian TV translates: "you are not the boss here")

Blackleaf, don't you even realize, how ridiculous this stuff is ... even compared to your usual posts and that is meaning a lot.

Oh, sorry! I thought this was supposed to be a discussion forum. How silly of me.
