Why can't we tax the h*ll out of foreign oil companies while at the same time at least begin to start drilling our own oil? Only until Cali, Fl, La, and alaska loosen those liberal restrictions that make it unprofitable to drill can we begin to decrease our independence on foreign oil. We have the oil all we have to do is drill it.

The reason we don't drill off the coast of Florida is a conservative restriction.
The juicy coast of Florida is the heavily republican west coast, and the thought of giving those reliably republican voters a local environmental issue, is something that makes Karl Rove reach for the TUMs.

If you have no intention of reading the documentation I sent you (and you asked for) just say so and I will stop wasting my time reading your posts. This will leave you free to make whatever claims you choose without the inconveniance and embarrasment of having me remind you they've already been debunked.

Remember when Congress cut money to agencies that were researching alternative fuels and then Bush made a visit to one such company. Wasn't he embarrassed when it turns out they had to lay off employees because of Budget cuts while he was trying to promote "alternative energy". When will Repiglicans stop embarrassing themselves?

I didn't realize that Bill Nelson, Allen Boyd, and Jim Davis were conservatives, but hey, keep spreading the half truths and lies. You are good for that.

Why would they stop? They are so good at it.

Well, you wrote south beach, not 'all of south florida' (I'm not a mind reader), so it appears as though you're the one doing the switching here. But whatever, it's besides the point. Far be it from me to derail this wonderfull thread.
