I'd say it's bullshit. 9/11 was probably used as an excuse to go war with Iraq, but we won't find such an excuse to hit Iran, unless some Iranian terrorist group hits the US. This is talking about European soccer games as the possible target and thus not sufficient to rile the ire of the United States.
