Default Sheik Hassan Nasrallah calling shots FROM:

The Iranian embassy.
Any doubt now Iran is calling the shots?
I couldn't have picked a better place.
To bomb the embassy would obviously be a declaration of war on Iran.

Does this make the embassy a legitimate target?
Hesballah has made the embassy it's command and control.

THings could get much uglier quick.

Don't have a link, just heard it on the news.

It is being denied by the Iranians, and I just read a report that Nasrallah is actually in Damascus, Syria.

yep - they also said this in the report, yet Isreali intelligence AND "outside intelligence" (whatever that is) both indicate that he is in Beruit in the Iranian embassy...they say if it is not Nasrallah, it is at least high ranking..the data was reportedly "intercepted communications"..which I take would be cell phone calls.

Well if it is true i guess it would be a legitimate target. But at the same time Israel perhaps thinks it would be strategically unpredictable.

Really, you kill Nasrallah and somebody else just takes his place. If Hezbollah killed Olmert somebody else would just take his place. Im not sure it would actulaly change anything. Of all the assasinations Israel has carried out, even if they have prevented some attacks, it has not changed the overall problem at all.

If I were Israel i might not risk widening the conflict to rake out a guy who might be replaced by somebody crazier.

I would agree.
If true...Iran is practically handing them an invitation to start a much wider conflict.

Fox is reporting Kuwati officials have confirmed he is in Damascus.
However he is there meeting with top Iranian officials...which again provides strong suspicion (for those that don't already know it) that Iran is clearlly giving direction, if not totally in control.

Iran is much stronger now that we took away their only resistance in the neighborhood and handed them a new ally.

What new ally?
Lebanon?..hardly, I guarentee you Lebanese officials would LOVE to see hesballah eliminated, and get the southern 1/3 of their country back out of Iranian clutches.

Or do you mean Hesballah?
Hesballah was at first a weak political party in Lebanon, then Iran seeing an opportunity - provided a shipload of cash, weaponry and it is widely known provided military training alongside their own army.
Their relationship with Hesballah has nothing to do with Iraq or the U.S. - it was a great vehicle for them to take over 1/3 of Lebanon..a country that has been becoming moderate like Egypt etc. - something Iran does not like at all.

Iraq's leader, Maliki is a member of a party with close ties to Iran. Maliki thinks Israel should not be allowed to defend herself. Iraq, with Maliki as it's leader, is now a close ally to Iran and strengthens Iran. We have truly fucked up......unless our main goal was world war three.....we have truly fucked up.
