Desperate.
If they doctor the shot, their credibility is gone. Maybe that wasn't even Beirut, or even current. Quit lobbing missiles at Israel, and they'll quit lobbing them back. Simple. Staging the news does the cause absolutely no good at all.

Nobody who remembers the Jenin massacre hoax should be at all surprised by this.

But this has nothing to do with being 'liberal". There is nothing "liberal" about antisemitism. And make no mistake, creating massacre hoaxes and faking photographs on behalf of terrorist organizations like hamas and hezbollah is antisemitism. Certainly these organizations make no secret of the fact that their goal is the extermination of every jew in the middle east. Anyone who lies to promote that goal deserves to be tarred with the same brush.

That's false. Israel has said they aren't going to stop until Hezbollah is gone. If Hezbollah simply stops, Israel will keep trying to destroy them. They aren't just going to retreat if Hezbollah stops firing.

What I don't understand is that some of the copying would actually require a good deal of skill e.g. the duplicated building in the background would have taken far more skill, and is far better done, then the smoke. So I'm wondering if there could be something else at play here.

Good shot? Or vandalism? You be the judge.
Shaped charges, like those found in HEAT weaponry can blow incredibly small holes in things. In fact, thats what they are supposed to do.

So the fact that you think the hole is too small isn't sufficient proof of anything.

Actually I never said I thought that (the hole was too small)nor implied that I thought that. You just stated that what you think I thought is a "fact". That's a bit presumptuous, don't you think? I request that you refrain from attempting to put words in my mouth.

Are you trying to imply that this is the result of a shaped charge? Now I don't claim to be weapons expert, but I do know the results of the Munroe effect when I see it. And that's not it.

So do you believe that the damage was caused by being hit by a guided missile?

A shaped charge could have made the main hole. It could have also been made by a number of other forms of weaponry.

It does not look like the work, however, of vandalism. Failing a wider shot, different angles, or better perspective, its impossible to say with any certainty what specifically hit the ambulances.
