Well, I have no illusions this may happen due to a limited military intervention of the kind described.

In order to get peace in the area by military intervention, you would have to occupy it all, except for Israel. Israel is the only democracy in the area, and can thus be trusted to uphold agreements on cease fire. Terrorist organizations feed from violence, anger and ignorance, it is not in their interest to make peace.
