Default To the soldiers

I've told some of you one by one, thank you for serving our country, but I'd like to just make a public thank you thread. usmc7011, Lazarus, Rakkasan, Xavier, Eurovol, and all the rest of you guys who have stood at the gate to protect us, please accept my heartfelt thanks. I admire you for your bravery and patriotic loyalty to our country. I know there are more of you than I have mentioned. Please post here so I can thank you too. I am proud of you.

You can thank my wife :0

I thank her everyday for being the best woman in the world

She was supposed to go to Iraq in september but she is with child so its delayed. She is not a fighter shes a healer

She is a nurse and super patriotic. She wants to go to iraq to serve.

She is a Captain and stationed at Lackland. She works in post surgery and takes care of soldiers and civilians too.

We sacrificed alot last year to make this happen I closed my 2 business's that I had for 15 years just so she could join up

Im a full time stay at home dad now and its more of a challenge to home school my kids and do these things then it was running my car stereo shop and used car lot.

Some peopel spout off about there beliefs and never take action never sacrafice for the ideals they believe in... Me and my family are not one of them

SO heartful thanks for your respect and thanks to the soldiers. Though me and you may be opposites in our feelings on political endevors at least you show your patriotism and not calling soldiers rapists and killers as some do

the soldiers apreciate your support

Good idea, Samantha.

I also want to offer praise. In whatever mindset and by whatever means you left the military, I appreciate your intent to serve this most unique country and the ideals that our red white and blue stands for - that is, assuming you aren't a kill'em all kinda individual. Perhaps you found yourself deceived, perhaps you thought it to be everything you expected; I only hope that you have found in yourself a better person after serving our national military.

I send the same message, essentially, to anyone performing a likewise duty of patriotism and sacrifice - firemen, policemen, (some) lawyers, politicians of principle, honest journalists, the list goes on and on.

I would like to see created a board category dedicated to documenting the name/M.O.S./lives of fallen soldiers . . . anyone else?

I served in peacetime, but our soliders, whenever they served appreciate your gesture...

Word.

I've got many friends who have served or are serving currently. While many of us may disagree on how and when the military is used, I don't think there's any of us that disparages those who choose to risk their lives in the service of our country.
