It just never ends, does it folks? I have a great idea, the next (new) president we get need not spend a moment or a dime on trying to broker a peace deal over there, it will NEVER happen. The only peace they'll have will come from the destruction of Israel, that is abundantly clear.

The white house "condemned" the terror attack. See that was cheap and easy, leave it at that.

I must say that the only logical conclusion that can be reached is that no matter what we do or who we kill, there will never be peace in the Middle East as long as there are muslims and jews living there. This fact is so clear that the only logical thing to do is to except the reality of it, and admitting to ourselves that they are both dedicated to the destruction of the other. To confront each side with the absolute futility of continuing to see how much one side of the conflict can hurt another, and just how outraged the world will be at the injustices and violence of their foes. The fact is both sides have become so caught up in each others destruction, that they have lost sight of anything else about their culture besides vengeance and retribution, violence and injustices, and they are doomed to continue the cycle they are caught in, until they can admit to themselves what wrong they have committed against the other.
Some Egyptian dude just scaled the Israeli Embassy's flagpole in Cairo and tore down the Israeli flag - the thousands gathered to protest went bonkers. I can't imagine Egypt's new government managing to remain impartial if Israel ramps up its military actions against Gaza... we are living in some interesting times.
Indeed a very interesting time we are living. Yesterday I didn't sleep just watching live news coverage of both Tripoli falling to the revolutionists and the march outside Israeli Embassy in Cairo.
Israel killed Egyptian soldiers an has refused to apologize even tho it blamed Hamas for the attacks at the border. What's the point of these diplomatic ties if you kill your closest border ally without apologizing.
Egypt has changed and the whole region is changing very quickly. The current Egyptian government can no longer stand in the face of this tide. This tide is what I consider true democracy. The tyrant/dictator is getting tried, his government fell, now people are free to express themselves. They don't want ties with this terrorist state. It's was democracy at it's best seeing the flag of Israel dropped and replaced by the flag of Egypt by a protester who climbed all the way to the top. The protesters were goin crazy with cheering, it was so dramatic.
Israel just said it won't apologize until investigations are done. The usual excuse hiding behind investigations. Israel is hiding behind thousands of investigations tht no one will ever see the end of while the killng continues.
The future between Egypt and Israel is getting shaped live. The next few days will be equally interesting.
Seems like America's and Israel's friends are falling very quickly like flies. Jordan and syria's brutal dictators need to fall also.
Back to watching the battle for Tripoli. Ghadafi is about to go too.
Arabs can't stand injustice anymore and the best way to express this is forcing Arab Democracy down the throat of their brutal leaders who have always been bed buddies with America and Israel. Time for change.

So how many Egyptians want to die in total war with the Israelis?
All who vote for it?

Hmmmmm...... I wonder what happened to having this new president who's policies the world was going to like and shower America with admiration and approval? You have to admit, Obama did do a nice job of pissing off Netayahu (or however you spell his name). Did that earn us points?

The problems the Egyptian people face have absolutely nothing to do with Israel. Even the Egyptians in Gaza, and the Jordanians in the West Bank have only their prior governments to blame.
If they decide to bark up that tree again, they deserve everything they get.

a vote for Palestinian statehood is actually at this point in time. a vote for strategic assets ( oil ) against, and we
americanos will suffer fosho... in lives as well. we are not Israel. we need to do what's in Americas interests.
he was voted into office as a man of principal. as such he can serve our strategic interests by voting for
the human rights of Palestinians as well as oil interests. ( statehood) the Arabs need to view the Americans as
impartial and just arbiters of peace and goodwill. the intelligence community should support this.

Something is definitely happening in the middle east.
Israel is loosing "friends" at an alarming rate.
The neighbours have finally had enough of living under their brutal diktators, sponsored and approved by USA, and thereby directly also Israel.
Big sugar daddy is running short on cash, and maybe in a not so distant future, it will perhaps even be legalized to critizice Israel, and maybe even to suggest a cut down on fundings!!!
The palestinians are going to the UN, to be rekognized.
Normally, when you hear the Israeli spokespersons, playing the victim role of the poor israelis, you can almost sence the laughter through the cigarsmoke in the backrooms.
This time it is different.
This time the tone has got a more shrilling sound.
The biggest propaganda apparatus the world has ever seen, seemes to be dysfunctional.
This time they really sound scared
Jen

Just so long as Israel falls and disintegrates, I don't care what happens over there. Israel is the problem and the US's involvement is of no help. We just need to withdraw from the whole area and be done with it all.
