    WAIT with jubilations!

Last night internet connection to Tripoli was blocked. So, no updates from the people there.

Yet even according to Western media it's far from over.

As for the capture of Gaddafi's son, well, maybe he was captured, maybe not: there was no confirmation from Gaddafi and "revolutionaries" haven't seen him either. Which means that it was either the work of SF, or propaganda "victory".

    Congrats to the Libyan people!

They have taken a major step for their nation. I hope they get the nation they want.

A pro western nation that bows to US/European demand is not what I would hope Europe would want as well as the Libyans. What Libya needs and deserves is a stable government who are ruled for everyone by the will of the people. It would be nice if this was more secular like Turkey but it is the choice of the Libyan People.

I wish them the best of luck through this tricky time....

Dubya got the US into two major wars while having the US public backing his actions. All what your beloved GröFaz archieved was getting the US into two never ending quagmires.

Obama got the US into one war, against the will of the US public, and the whole thing ended in less than half a year, without any major involvement of US ground forces and without international outrage.

Already now, the castrate outperformed the hawk when it comes to wars. No doubt about that.

Actually they have two of his sons in custody. One surrendered and the other was captured.

The two eldest sons of former Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi are in rebel custody, but questions remain about the whereabouts of other senior Gaddafi officials, and whether the rebels will hand over any prisoners to the International Criminal Court.

Gaddafi's second son, Saif al-Islam, was detained by rebels on Sunday night, according to Mustafa Abdul Jalil, the head of the rebel National Transitional Council (NTC). The council provided few other details.

Hours later, a spokesman for the International Criminal Court confirmed the arrest.

Ehm, you are aware that Obama, wasn't really enthusiastic about joining the war but was pushed especially by Sarkozy to join. Not that Sarkozy could force him to do so but what I am saying is that this war is at least as much Europe's fault than America's. Europeans should first look in their own yard before criticizing America.

In regards to recent developments. It is very hard to get a real picture among all the propaganda from all sides. But I've learned from the Iraq war that the end can come pretty rapidly while the regime is still certain to win the whole war.

By the way this must go down as a win for Obama. Comparing to his predecessor he managed to help change a government with out investing too much capital in the way of cash or man power.

He got Europe to take the leading role towards the end, which no President in living memory got to do.

He will really scare the Syrians with what happened here. It shows the Middle East dictators that we can get you without haveing to expose ourselves if your people want you gone. That is a real sign of strength much better than the 'with me or against me' crap.

Yes the outcome is less certain but what could be left is a friend in North Africa who apprieciates the help they got rather than an on going civil war.

Obama only fault is he can't clean up Bush's mess quick enough (would be acturate to say Rumsfeld's mess).

So Congrats to Obama and NATO (especially French and British forces).....

^^ Don't be so fast. Let's wait a bit longer with final judgements. That means once, Alma is not denying the fall of the Gadaffi regime (and accusing the west or who else of whatever), it might be really over.

See? Even Obama was against this war, and he's fucking POTUS. Obama helped win this war against the will of the POTUS and against the will of the american people. A is for victory
