I noticed this starting last night. I would send Marc a message but he doesn't seem to reply these days.

aye - I sent him a couple messages along time ago...I got no answer either.
Perhaps someone else should be given administrative rights?

I agree. I understand that he is busy but I wish somebody had the power to fix things other than him. Crystal is an administrator but she doesn't have the power to do everything such as fix the chat room. Only Marc can do that. I'm not sure about a problem like this.

Yea, it's slow for me, too...not too sure what can be done about it at the moment.

This would require "developer access" outside the framework of the VBulletin software. If I ran a website, I wouldn't give anyone that kind of access, so I can understand why someone else might not either. I too, wish we had the chat function, though.

So why doesn't Marc at least check his private message and respond? I don't see why anybody would consider donating to this site if he isn't even going to check into it from time to time. It's just frustrating because I used to and I always had a real love for this site.

I wonder if Marc is tired or running the site. I hope he doesn't just give it up one day.

I am here and have thought of a way to hopefully significantly unload the server and speed things up significantly. However, I would need to buy another copy of the forum software, which costs $160. I am looking into this and other options.

While I may not be around as much as I used to, this site is still very important to me and I want the performance to be much better than what it has been. I believe this is the best and most viable option. The forum software will also be upgraded soon with some additional features. Nonetheless, my main concern is performance at this juncture.

If two people are interested in life-time Platinum memberships for $80 each please let me know. If I could get that then I could purchase the software right away and get working on this. The size of the database is well over 1 GB...if I can unload this and make the active site less than 200 MB I think we would see significant performance improvements. The server is good and the traffic is low enough that we should have good performance.

The best way to get a quick response from me is to e-mail me directly...and even point me to a thread. The e-mail is marc at uspoliticsonline.com

Thank you for your patience and continued contributions; they are much appreciated.
