*walks in nervously* Um....hi. My name's Jason, I've kinda been without a message board home since I removed myself from the Darwin Awards forum a while back. I've been looking for a good board to join, and with this recent hoopla concerning certain appointments to the Supreme Court, this seemed like a logical place to go. Like I said, my name's Jason, I'm 21 years old, I'm over 80% Irish(my mother immigrated here when she was 16 with her parents, both of whom are 100% Irish), I want to go to law school(but don't have the money for it yet), I'm a paratrooper in the U.S. Army Reserve(but I have more liberal tendencies...isn't that odd?), and I'm a newlywed of 2 months. Having a good, well thought-out argument is one of life's great joys to me, and I look forward to contributing here.

No, that's cool. Your army experience will probably be appreciated around here.

Glad to have you Jason, welcome.

Hm, nameless heroe's name is Jason?
Anyway, welcome here; and I agree with the previous post, army men can provide an interesting point of view... especiallywhen, for onc, they're not right-wing
By the way, I like the darwin awards. My type of humour (yeah, I know it's for real, but that's still humour).
Before you hit the button, check if every single word that you wrote is a step towards truth. Then delete those words that are unnecessary.
In return, I'll be trying to do it, too. And then we might have some meaningful discussion.

Darwin Awards? That sounds odd given the 'cultural' basis of modern evolution. Methinks the very celebration of which contributes to that which it supposedly seeks to remove. That is to say, publising the stupid behaviour serves only to increase its likelihood of its repetition. Indeed, the death of some stupid fool is no longer removed from the gene pool - thanks to the "Darwin Awards" where that stupid behaviour gets propagated and immitated. Like I said, seems rather odd.

    Either way, welcome aboard.

I was attracted to the board as there seems to be a very international membership list and therefore a promise of lots of interesting debates!!
