Thread: demosmail.com & plato.cc E-mail now Available! All Google features included!

Demos in Greek means "the people". I have registered both demosmail.com and demosmail.net to offer as free e-mail with Google as the provider for those that are contributing members. Just like regular GMail, you get access to over 7 GB of storage, Google Docs, Calendar, Chat, Sites, etc.

I have also transitioned the domain plato.cc over to the Google service due the amount of features they offer.

If you are a contributing member and would like a demosmail.com e-mail then you would also get a demosmail.net one with it; the latter would simply act as an alias.

If you choose plato.cc then you would also get aristotle.cc and philosophers.cc as aliases.

I have a few more domains that I am still deciding whether to add as aliases or to place under one domain with the rest aliases. They are: uspolitics.cc, worldpolitics.cc, and politicalscience.cc. If I place them under one of these domains it would be uspolitics.cc.

I realize most everyone already has one or perhaps many e-mail solutions, which is why I tried hard to find what I thought was a pretty decent domain name with a .com last night. Something that conveyed what this site stands for and something that isn't real long. You can have your other mail forwarded to this account or vice versa. 7.2+ GB is quite a bit. The other features are also quite nice. I have personally used the calendar and docs features to collaborate with others on projects.

FYI. If one wants to edit out some typos immediately after posting, there is a bit of a glitch now. Usually, one just hits the edit button, makes the changes, then hits the save button.

Now, one hits the edit button, makes the changes, but hitting the save button does nothing. To save your edit changes, you have to hit "go advanced", wait for that page to show, then hit save changes there.

Thanks for letting me know. Perhaps there is another RC coming out soon. I will have to check and see if it is a known bug or not. I got excited for a second and thought someone was excited in one of the e-mail domains...although I know most people are pretty set in their e-mail solutions.

There are issues with the re-directing of the browser sometimes when/once you have logged in, though it doesn't have a link to click sometimes to manually take you to the next page.

Demosmail wasn't loading for me earlier so i'll try again in a while (or is the site still under production?)
