It seems you are saying, in some essence, you no longer sweat the small stuff.
My Dad went through 2 years of very serious health issues, and is very fortunate to be alive. (he beat some unbelievable odds)
I think only people who have went through the same, can only really both understand and appreciate that.

It times of great adversity, one of two things will happen - either it will beat you down, or bring you up....glad to see you chose the latter.
And glad to see you again.

I am alive. I feel better physically than I have in a very long time, and I'm only slightly more odd than I was before so all in all... Not sure why thriving warrants accolades. It hasn't been very elegant and I'm thinkin it is a biological predisposition kinda thing.
But seriously, you made me choke up a little. Sometimes I wish I could share this place I'm at now without anyone having to make the journey. It's not so bad. This morning I was telling my family that I thought I'd learned how to be happy (well not really "happy", but alright in a really good way), in almost any circumstances.
If I could figure out how to share that, I'd be here every day again. I'm just not sure I speak the same language. There are probably more of you that get that than I think. I hope so.
Cheers, and love (really - XXOO),

Ah, the deocder ring! Yes, you are right. Most people in times of adversity want to bypass the dues paying process, go backward, and be the person they WERE. That is not possible, or even desirable, IMNSHO. The person moving forward, walking through the fire, becomes someone much BETTER and ultimately more interesting than the person they were! Those people are the lighthouses!

So it seems you have survived something drastic. Excellent, you're a survivor. You must be to have caused these fellows to create an award especially for you.

Keep your mind working well even if everything else isn't. Work with what you have . . . use it or lose it . . .you know the game.

Take care of what you have left to care for. Hope things turn out as good as possible for you. May life be as pain free and easy as possible for you - one human to another -

My wife said it's OK if you drop by. I'll even let you have some of the domestic crap on the right-hand side of the fridge (Busch, of course).
